Why we exist

Most recruitment firms treat logistics as another vertical. A generalist recruiter runs a database search, sends over the CVs with the right job titles and asks the hiring manager to sort them. The DC manager who could not read a labour utilisation report gets an interview. The candidate who ran three sites through a WMS conversion does not. Two months in, the search is still open and the ops director has stopped answering emails.

RT Recruitment was set up to do the opposite. We are a specialist logistics and supply chain desk. Warehouse leadership, transportation, dispatch, procurement, inventory, S&OP, 3PL operations, freight brokerage, fleet, distribution centres, analytics and logistics engineering. Every recruiter has spent time inside operations, on a shift walk-through, in an S&OP meeting or on a network-design call. We screen against the KPI the role owns.

Every candidate on an RT shortlist has been assessed against the same standard:

  • KPI accountability match: the candidate can articulate the metric this role owns, in numbers
  • Right-to-work confirmed before introduction
  • Network context understood: multi-node vs single site, cross-dock vs pick-pack, dedicated vs shared, WMS in use, TMS in use
  • Current comp package broken down: base, bonus, LTIPs and shift differentials
  • Notice period, non-compete positions and start-date realism
  • Reference readiness and background-check readiness before we send
  • For senior and leadership roles: back-channel references and scoped case discussions

How we think about a placement

A placement is not a signed offer letter. It is the moment 12 months later when the DIFOT is up, the labour cost is on budget, the shift managers are settled, and the ops director has stopped thinking about backup plans. That is what we measure.

  • KPI-fluent screening. If we cannot articulate the metric a role owns and how the candidate has moved it, the CV does not leave our desk.
  • Tell the truth. If a comp band is light for the region or the KPI is unrealistic, we say so before sourcing.
  • One recruiter, end-to-end. Same person from intake through onboarding follow-up.
  • Discretion by default. Every approach is confidential.
