Right Time Recruitment are currently looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join their client in Birmingham!

The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for managing & reviewing the IT department and its function. The IT Infrastructure Manager will be a member of the Management Team and work closely with the Leadership Team to determine and execute the IT strategy of the business.

The IT Infrastructure Manager will be:

  • Part of the Management Team
  • Reviewing the structure of the IT department & provide a strategic roadmap to enable business growth
  • Managing the IT team by carrying out reviews, team performance reviews and mentoring
  • Managing the IT function within the business which will be responsible for all internal servers, desktops, network, telephony and systems as well as 3rd party applications
  • Ensuring the IT function delivers the highest standards of internal customer service
  • Working to tight deadlines and provide high levels of technical support & compliance within the business environment
  • Overseeing and managing all internal IT projects
  • Creating and maintaining IT KPI targets to ensure strategy is on target

 

The ideal Infrastructure Manager will have:

  • "Expert" knowledge of all matters related to technology infrastructure, including but not limited to, cloud, server, database, virtualisation, storage, operating systems and connectivity.
  • "Expert" technical understanding of Microsoft on-premise and cloud-technologies (including Azure, SharePoint, Dynamics and Office 365).
  • Sound understanding of network configuration, security and security: infrastructure, application, virtualisation.
  • Sound understanding of general principles of mobile device management, configuration and encryption technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience of utilising at least one best practice service management framework, to develop a value-adding approach to the delivery of IT infrastructure which is pragmatic and appropriate to the organisation.
  • Experience in working towards or holder of expert-level, industry-recognised qualifications in IT Infrastructure, customer service and/or management.
  • Experience of leading a team in a previous role.
